Sported Wales are excited to invite Sported members to meet three funders who have been distributing a range of grants to small and large community groups across Wales for many years.

These funders have used their grant making experience to develop additional resources to help develop better bids and strengthen community organisations. There will also be a question and answer session with the speakers.


Community Foundation in Wales

In this session, hear from Clare Davies, Grants Officer at The Community Foundation in Wales (CFW). Watch a recording of the video below.

The National Lottery Community Fund

In this session, Suzanne Brown and Sarah Eliot, Funding Officers at The National Lottery Community Fund Wales (NLCF) will speak about :

  • Awards For All : One year maximum from £300- £10,000
  • People and Places - fund up to 5 years Medium grants £10,001–£100,000 for up to 5 years Large grants £100,001–£500,000.

Coalfields Regeneration Trust

In this session, Natalie Sargent, Development Manager Wales will talk and answer questions about CRT Wales Grants. 

  • Fast Track Funding: £500 - £2000 for energy efficiency or health and safety improvements for community facilities, which are based in, or benefit people from eligible coalfield areas.
  • Coalfields Community Grant Programme (Wales): One-year Grants (from £500 – £7,000 revenue or capital)
  • Better bids: Natalie will also talk about CRT Wales additional resources to help develop better bids .
