Groundwork - One Stop Community Partnership Programme

Grants are available through a partnership programme to support not-for-profit organisations with local community projects that address social welfare and environmental issues. The programme is designed to create a partnership of support to community groups, operating within two miles of a One Stop store, who are working in a number of categories including running youth sports teams.

Grants are available to local charitable organisations working with young people aged up to 25 years in England and Wales.
Masonic Charitable Foundation – Children and Young People Grants Programme (under and over £10,000)

One-off grants are available for local community organisations and charities for local community initiatives across England, Scotland and Wales in communities where Persimmon has a presence.

Sustainable Steps Wales - Egin Grants (under and over £10,000)
Grants to help community groups in Wales who are starting to take action on climate change and want to live in a more sustainable way. The grants will help groups those who are receiving support from Sustainable Steps Wales - Egin Mentoring Service to kick start their ideas.
Suitable for groups which have received mentoring from Egin (the Sustainable Steps Wales - mentoring service) and have completed an action plan.

Community Facilities Programme (Wales)

Capital grants are available for community-led voluntary and community sector organisations to develop and improve community facilities in Wales.The funding is intended to help organisations develop and improve facilities for communities in order to tackle poverty and its effects, increasing opportunity, creating prosperity for all, and developing resilient communities where people are engaged and empowered.
There are two levels of funding available:
- Small Grants - between £5,000 and £25,000.
- Large Grants - between £25,001 and £300,000.
Projects will require match funding. There is no minimum amount, but those with match funding secured or applied for will be more likely to receive funding. This can include in-kind funding such as materials, skills and services.

The Access Foundation
Grants are available to registered charities, CICs, educational establishments and CIOs for projects that mitigate the digital divide by making computing facilities, support and/or learning available to disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
Amount: £25,000 to £100,000
Wales Community Asset Loan Fund (CALF)
Loans are available to community groups including charities, social enterprises and CICs in Wales that are seeking to bring property into community ownership. Additionally, small grants are available to support purchasing organisations with the sustainable management of their property.
Amount: Loans up to £300,000 are available. CALF can fund up to 100% of the property value.
Wales - Communities Investment Fund (CIF)
Social investment loans are available for social businesses in Wales to expand, grow their income generating capabilities or to purchase an asset.
Amount: £50,000 to £250,000
WCVA Wales
The WCVA is a national membership body for voluntary organisations in Wales, WCVA exists to enable voluntary organisations to make a bigger difference together. A variety of funds are available with details on their website.

Grants are available for registered charities and organisations with a charitable purpose that are working to support community development in Wales.

Youth Endowment Fund - Open Call
Grants are available for delivery organisations that work to reduce young people’s involvement in violence for well-established projects delivered in England or Wales.

England & Wales Cricket Board - EWCT Interest Free Loan Scheme
Interest-free loans are available to cricket clubs in England and Wales to finance capital projects, including renovations, to improve facilities which contribute to increased participation in cricket.
England and Wales Cricket Board - County Grants Fund
Grants are available to support ECB affiliated cricket clubs in England and Wales with creating welcoming environments, providing enhanced facilities and playing opportunities, and tackling the impact of climate change.
Amount: £1,000 to £10,000
England and Wales Cricket Board - Grass Pitch Improvement Fund
Grants are available to support ECB affiliated cricket clubs to help address inequalities in access to safe, good quality grass cricket pitches across England and Wales. Priority will be given to application that support cricket for groups in the following:
- Women’s and girls’ cricket
- Cricket in diverse communities
- Disability cricket
- Low socio-economic groups (LSEG)
Amount: this will be determined on a case by case basis
Football Association of Wales - PAWB Fund
The funding is intended to help provide vital equipment to young football players such as boots, shin pads, goalkeeper gloves, sports goggles, contact lenses and hijabs, in addition to travel costs and membership fees. The fund can be applied for by or on behalf of any football player living in Wales aged 5-18, to support and assist them with accessing football opportunities and/or equipment.
Amount granted is at the discretion of PAWB Fund.
Premier League Stadium Fund
Grants are available for clubs playing in the England and Wales football pyramid to make improvements to their stadiums.
Amount: up to £750,000
Welsh Rugby Union - Facilities Grants
Grants are available to Welsh rugby clubs to assist with the costs of facilities projects.
Amount: up to £50,000

Sports Foundation for the Disabled
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to not-for-profit groups for projects which promote access to sporting opportunities for disabled individuals and groups in South-West England and Wales.

Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation
Grants are available for registered charities in England, Wales, the Isle of Man, and Republic of Ireland to support a range of good causes that will benefit those most in need. One of the objectives is Amateur sport: to improve physical and mental health with a focus on sport provision for people with disabilities.

North Wales Police and Community Trust Fund (PACT)

North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm Community Fund - Prestatyn, Meliden and Rhyl
Financial assistance is available to community groups for capital projects that are of long term benefit to the residents of Prestatyn, Meliden and Rhyl.
Port of Milford Haven's Community Fund
The Community Support Programme provides financial support through the Port of Milford Haven's Community Fund. Charities, voluntary organisations, community organisations and social enterprises that are working within Pembrokeshire are eligible to apply for support.
The deadline for applications falls on the 25th of each month.
Powys - UK Shared Prosperity Fund: Making a Difference Community Grants
Grants are available to support community organisations in Powys to deliver projects that address local needs and contribute to building pride in place, as part of the wider UK Shared Prosperity Fund programme.

Powys - Welsh Church Act Fund
Deadline: 16/12/2024
Financial assistance is available to places of worship and voluntary groups to support local community projects in Powys.
Amount: between £1,000 and £5,000. In exceptional cases grants of up to £10,000 may be awarded.
Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr and Bridgend - Welsh Church Act Fund
The Welsh Church Act Fund is available to constituted community groups and charities operating in the County Borough areas of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr and Bridgend. Organisations must provide activities that have long term direct benefit to residents and communities within these areas and must be open to members of the public at large. There are three levels of grant small (up to £2,000), medium (up to £10,000), and large (up to £50,000)
It provides support for capital expenditure such as:
- Refurbishment of a community buildings or places of worship;
- Purchase of capital equipment;
- Other purposes beneficial to the wider community.
The Fund operates on a rolling programme basis. There are no set bidding rounds and fully developed applications can be submitted at any time.

Amount: up to £5,000
Swansea Council - Welsh Church Act Trust Fund
The fund is open to all voluntary, charitable or benevolent groups based in - or having significant user numbers in - the Swansea area, and awards grants to successful applicants up to a maximum of £5,000. Priority will normally be given to revenue funded schemes, however capital schemes will be considered, especially where they can show that other funding has been secured. There is no set closing dates for applications. If sufficient funds are available, the trustees panel sits twice a year.
United Welsh Together Fund (South Wales)
Grants are available to community organisations working in United Welsh locations in South Wales for projects that deliver benefits to residents and their local communities. Areas included are: Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan.

Grants are available to third sector organisations for community action and volunteering projects in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Amount: up to £5,000
Vale of Glamorgan Council - Welsh Church Act Fund
Grants are available to support community and voluntary organisations in carrying out a variety of projects for the benefit of the residents of the Vale of Glamorgan. Awards are usually in the region of £1,500 and applications are accepted throughout the year.
Viridor and Prosiect Gwyrdd Community Fund
Grants are available to not-for-profit community organisations for projects and community initiatives that demonstrate sustainability, local need, community involvement, value for money and education and take place within Caerphilly, Cardiff, Monmouthshire, Newport and Vale of Glamorgan.
Amount: up to £ 3,000
Williams Family Foundation
Grants are available for local registered charities in West Cheshire and North Wales that are working to support disadvantaged people, with the aim of making people's lives better.
Amount: from £1,000
Wrexham - UK Shared Prosperity Fund: Community Key Fund
Grants are available to support community-led or community-owned venues and facilities in Wrexham to develop, strengthen and enhance community infrastructure and community-based projects, as part of the wider UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Amount: £2,000 to £50,000
