Alpkit Foundation
Grants are available to community groups, schools and other not-for-profit organisations for projects that champion education, participation, environment, diversity and health in the UK.
Amount: up to £500
Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust
The Trust awards grants to disadvantaged young people to develop an existing interest and experience in adventurous outdoor activities. This includes walking, climbing, cycling, kayaking, sailing, horse riding - either self-planned or for residential courses at an outdoor centre. Mostly, the Trust are looking for enthusiasm, initiative and a sense of adventure.
Angus Irvine Playing Fields Fund
Grants are available to local community groups and sports clubs for projects that will increase opportunities for young people in disadvantaged areas of the UK to play outdoor sport.
Amount: £2,500 to £5,000
ASDA Foundation Grants (under and over £10,000)
The Asda Foundation supports small, grass roots organisations in several ways throughout the year. Working with Asda’s Community Champions in store, they are able to work with a range of organisations and groups on a variety of local community projects including capital (up to £25,000) and revenue. Black Heritage Fund
If you are a project or organisation in the UK that works with the Black community and you’d like support this fund may be suitable for you. They are looking for grassroots projects across the UK where Black Heritage Fund can make meaningful contributions.
Boost Charitable Trust
Boost provides funding to inspiring programmes which help improve the lives of the disadvantaged and disabled through the power of sport. Small grants are available to charities and non-profit making organisations supporting individuals in the UK to participate in sport.
Buttle UK - Chances for Children
Individually tailored grants of up to £2,200 for children and young people who have experienced a crisis that has recently had a significant and enduring impact on their wellbeing and educational engagement.
They fund items and activities to help improve children and young people’s wellbeing and increase their capacity to engage in education and learning.
Clothworkers' Foundation (under and over £10,000)
Capital grants are available to UK registered charities, CICs, and other registered UK not-for-profit organisations towards Buildings, Fittings, Fixtures, and Equipment, and Vehicles including the purchase of minibuses. You must be working in one of the following areas: alcohol and substance misuse, people with disabilities, disadvantaged minority communities, disadvantaged young people, domestic and sexual abuse, homelessness, prisoners and ex-offenders, and visual impairment.
E C Sosnow Charitable Trust
A small trust that offers a small amount of grants for charitable organisations in the UK related to work being done in the areas of education, the arts, the underprivileged, healthcare and emergency relief.

Gosling Foundation
Grants from £5000 upwards are available for charitable organisations carrying out projects in the UK that benefit the Foundation's focus areas which includes youth. They fund organisations that provide opportunities and support for disadvantaged young people. Funding includes project costs including projects to help organisations be more efficient, capital projects, minibuses and equipment.
Growth Guarantee Scheme (GGS)
This scheme supports access to finance for small and medium-sized UK businesses (profit making and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE)), to grow and invest. Formerly known as the 'Recovery Loan Scheme'.
The scheme offers a 70% government guarantee on loans to SMEs of up to £2 million in Great Britain, and £1 million in Northern Ireland.
Happy Days Children's Charity
Funding for families with children aged 3-17 who are disabled, have a special need or have been abused. Includes funding for group day trips and activity holidays.
Henry Smith Charity - Holiday Grants for Children
Deadline: 19/11/2024
Grants are available for schools, youth groups, not-for-profit organisations, and charities to provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children aged 13 years and younger who experience disadvantage or disability and live in an area of high deprivation.
Amount: £500 to £2,800
idverde Community Investment Fund (with Crowdfunding)
Grants are available to not-for-profit groups who can raise their initial funding through a crowdfunding campaign for projects that improve local green space or the public realm, enhance the local environment and boost the wellbeing of local people.
Amount: up to £1,000
Ironmongers' Company
Deadline: 15/12/2024
Grants for projects in the UK that provide opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people under the age of 25 years to fulfil their potential.

Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust
Grants are available to clubs, community groups or teams in the UK to encourage vulnerable and underprivileged children and young adults to get active and enjoy taking part in sport.

Matthew Good Foundation - Grants for Good Fund
Grants of between £2,000 and £5,000 are available for local community groups, charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises in the UK for projects that have a positive impact on communities, people, or the environment.
Peter Harrison Foundation - Active Lives Grant Programme (under and over £10,000)
Deadline: 01/01/2025
Grants are available to UK charities to support grassroots sports projects which provide opportunities for self-development for people living in the most disadvantaged areas in the UK who encounter physical, mental, social, or economic barriers.
Amount: Small grants up to £5,000 and major grants up to £30,000
Percy Bilton Charity - Grants for Organisations
Funding is available to UK registered charities with primary objectives to assist one or more of the following groups: disadvantaged/underprivileged young people (under 25 years old); people with disabilities (physical or learning disabilities or mental health problems); older people (aged over 60).

Protective Security for Mosques Funding Scheme
Grants are available to provide protective security measures to mosques and associated Muslim faith community centres in the United Kingdom.
Screwfix Foundation

Grants are available to UK registered charities and not-for-profit organisations for projects that improve, fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities specifically for those in need (by reason of financial hardship, sickness, disability or other disadvantage or distress) in the UK.
Amount: up to £5,000
Stuart Halbert Foundation (under and over £10,000)
Grants are available to UK registered charities and other charitable organisations for projects that support disadvantaged people, or local communities.
Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees. The level of funding varies each year. However, requests for over £10,000 are considered. Match funding is encouraged. The Foundation is willing to work in partnership with other organisations to fund initiatives beyond the financial scope of a single organisation.
Tesco Community Grants
Grants of up to £1500 are available to non-profit making, constituted groups and organisations for local good causes that focus on supporting children and families in the UK. Funds could include holiday clubs and kit/equipment for youth sports teams.
Truemark Trust
Grants are available for small, locally based charitable organisations addressing social distress and disadvantage, with a preference for neighbourhood-based community projects and for innovatory work with less popular groups.

Trusthouse Charitable Foundation (under and over £10,000)
Grants of between £2000 and £100,000 are available for small and medium sized local charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK with a track record of success working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation or deprived rural areas. Funding is available for revenue costs including core costs, salaries, running and project costs.
Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation - Small Change Big Difference Fund

Grants to support registered charities and good causes in local communities across the UK to alleviate poverty, improve health and save lives.

Action for Women's Health – Global Open Call

Grants are available for organisations in the UK and around the world that are improving women’s mental and physical health. Large grants are available.
BA Better World Community Fund (with Crowdfunding)
Grants are available for charities, community benefit societies and social enterprises in the UK who can raise their initial funding through a crowdfunding campaign to support organisations who are supporting social mobility, driving opportunity for education and employability in disadvantaged communities and supporting individuals from ethnic minorities.
Amount: up to £15,000 match funding
BGF Foundation Partnership Grants
Note: one of the eligibilty criteria is charities must have an income over £1m and less than £3m
Deadline: 29/11/2024
A small number of unrestricted grants are available to UK registered charities who work exclusively with disadvantaged young people (aged 7 to 30 years) in the UK and who have plans to scale their impact.
Amount: up to £100,000 over two years.
Biffa Awards – Main Grants Scheme
Grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 are available for not-for-profit organisations for projects that will benefit people in their spare time in communities located within the vicinity of a Biffa operation. N.B Biffa Award is unable to fund sole sporting related projects, however, do consider applications from sport clubs for the building works or improvements to clubhouse facilities, that can demonstrate multi-usage within the wider community, and that are not for the sole use of the sports club or any other organisation.
Britford Bridge Trust
Next deadline: 31/12/2024 (quarterly deadlines)
Grants are available to UK registered charities involved in the prevention or relief of poverty; the advancement of education; the advancement of health or the saving of lives; and the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage or science.
Amount: up to £50,000
Children’s Alliance
Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations across the UK to give children and young people a better start in life through projects involving the medium of water.
Amount: up to £15,000

Comic Relief – Re-Rooted: Safety and Security for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Grants are available for UK organisations that specialise in delivering services and support for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and that are doing influencing work for safer routes and improved outcomes for people affected.
Amount: up to £200,000
Community Ownership Fund
Grants are available to voluntary, community and charitable organisations in the UK to support them in taking ownership of local assets such as sporting and cultural venues, meeting spaces, community centres, pubs and shops that are at risk of closure.
Amount: £250,000

Dulverton Trust (excludes NI)
Grants of up to £35,000 are available to UK registered charities and CIOs with a national footprint across the UK (excluding NI). The Trust currently funds a wide range of activities and core costs across five categories including Youth Opportunities (primarily young people from lower-income backgrounds) and General Welfare (including communities with high levels of poverty).
Edward Gostling Foundation - Capital Grants Programme
Grants are available for registered charities and CIOs for major capital projects that will cost at least £1 million and support the Foundation's commitment to creating new and sustainable capacity that will transform lives and bring about a step change in the way care is delivered.
Amount: up to £250,000
Trustees may award more for projects they believe are truly innovative. The preference is that the Foundation is part of a consortium of grant makers.
Garfield Weston Foundation
Grants are available to charitable organisations in the UK who are working in a variety of areas including community, and youth. Typical community projects supported include revenue grants for volunteering schemes and capital grants for the restoration of village halls and community centres and for facilities to support community life, and for youth projects to support and inspire young people to achieve their potential including small local groups as well as larger national youth development charities.
Amount: Regular grants up to £100,000 and major grants of £100,000 and above
National Lottery Community Fund - The UK Fund
Grants are available to not-for-profit groups for projects in the UK that help bring diverse communities together as well as projects that help children and young people use their voice to influence change.
Amount: £500,000 to £5 million
Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Youth Fund
Grants are available for organisations whose main purpose is working with and for young people (aged 14-25) who face challenging or complex transitions to adulthood.
There is particular interest in applications from organisations led by people most impacted by racism, ableism, classism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and/or transphobia.
A pre-application bursary of up to £750 is available to help groups apply

Peter Harrison Foundation - Active Lives Grant Programme (under and over £10,000)

The Henry Smith Charity
The Henry Smith Charity aims to use its resources to help people and communities at a time of need and to bring about positive change. Grants are available for organisations that work with people to reduce social and economic disadvantage.
Improving Lives grant (£20,000 to £70,000 per year for 1-3 years), covers running costs, salaries and projects.
Strengthening Communities grant (£20,000 to £70,000 per year for 1-3 years), targeting locations physically based and working within or immediately next to an area within the 10% most deprived areas in England and Scotland and within or immediately next to an area within the 15% most deprived areas in Northern Ireland and Wales. Fund covers running costs.
The Primary Club - Murray Fund
Deadline: 15/11/2024
Grants are available for sports and recreational projects for the blind and visually impaired within the UK. In addition to cricket, the Club also supports a wide range of other VI sports including baseball, futsal, goalball, golf, scuba diving, showdown, skiing, swimming, tandem cycling and Braille chess.
Amount: up to £25,000
Trusthouse Charitable Foundation (under and over £10,000)
Grants of between £2000 and £100,000 are available for small and medium sized local charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK with a track record of success working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation or deprived rural areas. Funding is available for revenue costs including core costs, salaries, running and project costs.
Venturesome Impact Fund
Social investment is available for charities, social enterprises and community groups across the UK to sustain and grow their social impact. This extensive and flexible social investment fund is open to all cause areas across the UK and is designed to deliver social impact, investing for three to five years into organisations.
Amount: up to £1,000,000
Investment includes: Unsecured loans and Blended finance (part loan/part grant) as well as Standby facilities (a pre-approved loan to draw on if it is needed).
WCIT – IT4Good Grant Programme
Deadline: 10/02/2025
Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations across the UK to deliver IT projects and activities that support the themes of education, inclusion, IT for charities, and understanding of IT.
Amount: up to £15,000
Weaver's Company Benevolent Fund
Deadline: 14/11/2024
Grants are available for UK registered charities and charitable incorporated organisations that can demonstrate impact with ex-offenders, young offenders or young people at risk of offending, either within a local area or nationally.

Dan Maskell Tennis Trust (sport specific and disabilty)
Grants are available to help disabled people in the UK to play tennis through the purchase of wheelchairs, tennis equipment and grants for coaching.

Lawn Tennis Association – Quick Access Loan Scheme
The LTA’s Quick Access Loan Scheme aims to provide interest-free loans to support venues investment in facilities, prioritising the installation and construction of covered courts.
Loans available from £25,000
RYA Foundation Youth Fund
Grants are available for sailing clubs in the UK to promote participation in boating by those who are disadvantaged by reason of youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances. Includes volunteer recruitment, training, provision for young people and equipment.
Wooden Spoon Charity (sports specific and disabilty)
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, and transform the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children and young people across the UK and Ireland through the power of rugby. From sensory rooms, specialist playgrounds and sports activity areas to respite, medical and community care, they fund around 70 projects each year that support disadvantaged and disabled children.
Disability specific grants
Bruce Wake Charitable Trust
Grants are available for voluntary and community organisations in the UK for the provision of leisure activities for the disabled in the with favour given to applications where one or all of the following criteria are met:
- The potential beneficiaries are physically disabled wheelchair users
- Improved access for wheelchair users is proposed
- A sporting or leisure activity involving disabled wheelchair users is proposed

Family Fund – Your Opportunity (18 to 24 year olds)
Your Opportunity supports disabled and seriously ill young adults, aged 18 to 24 years old, living at home. They offer grants for various things including clubs and activities – membership fees, sports training, support with season tickets or materials for a hobby.
Rowing Foundation
Deadline: 10/03/2025
Grants are available for equipment that will support the participation of young people and disabled people in rowing in the UK.
Amount: £500 to £4,000
The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund
The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund provides grants for general and research work with people with learning disabilities. Application for funding is normally considered for capital and revenue costs and for both specific projects and for general running/core costs.
Grants are awarded for amounts from £250 and depend on a number of factors including the purpose, the total funding requirement and the potential sources of other funds including, in some cases, match funding.

Grants are available to UK based charities for projects that support socially disadvantaged and disabled people of all ages.
B&Q Foundation Grants
Grants are available to UK registered charities for projects that improve homes and communities spaces for those who are experiencing homelessness, in financial hardship, impacted by health, disability or other disadvantage or distress.
Amount: £5,000
Charles Hayward Foundation
Next deadline: 08/11/2024
Grants are available to UK registered charities for projects including Social and Criminal Justice. The overall aim of funding in this area is to prevent people entering the criminal justice system and to support those already in the system to move on and rebuild their lives.
Amount: between £15,000 to £25,000 per annum for one to three years
Foux Foundation
Grants are available for registered charities across the United Kingdom and Ireland to deliver a variety of projects and activities that address health, education, youth opportunity, and the relief of poverty.
Edgar E Lawley Foundation
Deadline: 31/10/2025
Grants are available for UK-registered charities for projects that benefit the old, young and disabled.
The scheme is intended to support small charities that engage in community projects and run projects for the benefit of disadvantaged groups.

Hargreaves Foundation
The funding is intended for projects that give those under the age of 18, and living with a mental health condition, physical disability, or growing up in poverty, the opportunity to fulfil their potential, improving wellbeing, self-esteem and independence. The foundation can fund clearly defined projects, initiatives or the purchase of specific items.
Hodge Foundation
The Foundation supports UK registered or exempt charities working with people who may be vulnerable or disadvantaged and who need assistance to improve their lives. This includes a variety of causes and groups including the elderly, homeless, disabled, special needs and those with mental health issues.
Morrisons Foundation (excluding NI)
Grants are available to registered charities for new projects which directly improve the lives of local people or communities, especially those that are vulnerable or disadvantaged, in England, Scotland or Wales.
Amount: up to £25,000
Percy Bilton Charity - Grants for Organisations
Assistance is given to UK registered charities assisting disadvantaged/underprivileged Young People (under 25), people with disabilities (physical or learning) or mental health problems. Grants can be put towards furnishings and equipment (excluding office items), building or refurbishment projects.
Large grants - one off payments for capital expenditure of approximately £2,000 and over (the majority of grants fall within the range of £2,000 to £5,000). Preference is given to specific items of furniture and equipment (excluding office items) which the Charity can fund in their entirety.
Small grants of up to £750 to support individuals are also available.
Peter Harrison Foundation - Active Lives Grant Programme

Peter Harrison Foundation - Opportunities through sport and physical activity
Grants are available to UK registered charities and CASCs creating access to opportunities for sport and physical activity at a grassroots level that enable people who are physically, mentally, socially or economically disadvantaged to develop personal and life skills to fulfil their potential. Applications will be considered for capital, revenue or projects.
Major grants: between £5,000 and: £30,000

Schroder Charity Trust
The Schroder Charity Trust is an independent grant-making family trust which supports a wide range of charitable activities including strengthening communities, education, training and employment and health and wellbeing. Grants of up to £5,000 are avilable to UK registered charities towards core and project costs.

Swire Charitable Trust
Grants are available for UK registered charities working to deliver positive and lasting change to UK society under three programme areas including opportunity for children and young people in care, involved with the criminal justice system and form the most socio-disadvantaged backgrounds.
Tabhair Charitable Trust
Grants are available for registered charities across the UK and Ireland to support projects and activities that improve wellbeing in local communities through education, training, and employment opportunities.
Amount: £500 to £5,000
The Astor Foundation
Grants of between £250 and £1,500 are available for registered charities in the UK undertaking a variety of charitable activities. Including a focus on children and youth groups, and disabilty sport. Th trustees meet twice yearly, usually October and April.

The Woodward Charitable Trust
The Trust primarily funds charitable organisations in the UK. Registered charities, CICs and CIOs
One of their focus areas is - Children and young people who are isolated, at risk of exclusion or involved in anti-social behaviour and projects to help those who have been in the care system. This also covers gang violence and knife crime, education and mentoring as well as projects that work to raise self-esteem and employment opportunities and encourage an active involvement in and contribution towards the local community. Funding is towards core costs only e.g. staff salaries, rent, utilities, governance, compliance etc.
Amount: small grants – up to £3000, but usually £1,000 or less. A few large grants over £3,000 are available.
True Colours Trust - UK Small Grants
Small grants are available to UK registered charities and CICs that are working to make a difference to the lives of disabled children and young people in the UK. The Trust are committed to working towards a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion and will fund organisations which share that goal and which are open to children and families of all faiths, backgrounds and cultures. They are also particularly keen to receive applications from organisations which operate in areas of high deprivation.
Grants of up to £10,000 are available although usually smaller.
