Working with young people who need mental health support?

Whatever you’re experiencing, Sported. has partnered with Stop.Breathe.Think to provide essential support to young people.

When?

From 10 October, Stop.Breathe.Think will make 16 pilot places available for young people to access counselling. If you are supporting/coaching/working with a young person who’s struggling, they can refer themselves via our page, or you can guide them through the simple form.

“Waiting lists for free counselling with the NHS or CAMHS are reaching up to three years in certain parts of the UK,” said Penny Rabone, Sported’s Wellbeing Lead.

“We hope this partnership will start a movement towards providing free and fast counselling for any young person in need of someone to talk to.”

How?

All counselling sessions with Stop.Breathe.Think are online, usually via Zoom but also available over the phone.

Each will provide young people with accessibility and privacy. However, if the young person has difficulty accessing a phone or computer, we’re happy to help facilitate access.
